Yeah, but this isn't even HTML! I still wonder what Shiny intended for us to do.

Who knows… But we do what we must because we can :p

I have problems with calling this "simple" html.

But it is simple for me :p

    Seriously though I do agree.

    Edit:
matrix3d is just so awesome and all it requires is multiplying a few 4x4 matrices!
Yeah, but this isn't even HTML! I still wonder what Shiny intended for us to do.

This was actually a test thread made right after the forums got updated.
I wanted to see whether or not the simple HTML codes I use (img src, a href, etc.) had any changes or if there were different codes.
I think the only difference now is the spoiler command.

Well I don't see why Opti would change the way HTML works.

From preview it looks like tables add a fuckton of line breaks. Let me actually test it.
    Jill Smith 50
    Eve Jackson 94
    Yeah, looks like it's true.

Well I can't remember what it is but I'm pretty sure there's an attribute to change that.

Nah, look at page source code. It just spams <br> for each element in your table. Nothing you can actually do. Aside from emulating the table via divs:

    Jill

    Smith

    50

    Eve

    Jackson

    94

Which looks worse unless you spend some time ironing out the css, looks plain ugly in code and doesn't have part of the functionality, but at least it works.

Well we don't really read the source code of posts normally.

Well we don't really read the source code of posts normally.

You should when you're trying to figure out what's wrong with stuff :p

Anyway, it looks like table-styled divs also spam line breaks, but instead of putting them all on top, they simply add them inbetween. And this actually shown me the actual reason and solution.

You see, each line break you make in editor is interpreted as <br> tag. So nicely formatting your code is detrimental, apparently. And since the table is a singular entity that doesn't allow for line breaks parser actually spams them all before the table.

So the actual solution to the problem is to remove formatting from your code.

    <table style="width:100%"> <tr> <td>Jill</td> <td>Smith</td> <td>50</td> </tr> <tr> <td>Eve</td> <td>Jackson</td> <td>94</td> </tr> </table>

    becomes

    <table style="width:100%"><tr><td>Jill</td><td>Smith</td><td>50</td></tr><tr><td>Eve</td><td>Jackson</td><td>94</td></tr></table>
