There once was a relatively small planet orbiting a relatively small star which, in turn, surely orbited something else that was relative. On this planet, a vast array of lifeforms had made abode in various ways. Some lived surrounded by water; some surrounded by soil. Others even learned how to spend much of their life soaring through the air! However, the lifeforms that had apparently taken dominance of this small orb shooting through space called themselves Humans, and they lived on top of the soil.

Now these humans were peculiar beings, not because of where they lived, but how. The Humans developed intricate ways of communicating that allowed them to work together by sharing ideas and knowledge, and soon they overcame all other lifeforms that threatened them. Many thousands of years after the humans made this breakthrough, they made another important advance in communication: The Intranet. This system allowed them to communicate freely with anyone across the planet who was willing.

Our story takes place on this very Intranet, in a special place called The Forum:

One day, after a week of hiatus, a human member of The Forum decided to check up on the goings-on of his human chums and human pals via The Intranet. Upon reaching it's favorite section of The Forum, Off Topic, the member saw a post that was ever-intriguing.

"A fiction writing contest?" the member thought with glee. "This should be intriguing!"

So the member, after answering a question for it's wildly popular and award-winning AMA, navigated back and engaged the Intranet Link to the fiction writing contest with nothing short of heroic anticipation.

THAT WAS WHEN ALL MEANING IN THE UNIVERSE CRUMBLED INTO CRUMBLES.

Not a single submission of fiction writing was present, and yet there was a clear winner!

"What in the crumbling meaning of the universe is going on?!" cried the member in horror. "How can there be a winner if there are no participants?"

The member anxiously refreshed the page.

"Maybe there was a malfunction with my Intranet Provider," thought the member as The Forum disappeared and appeared again on it's Intranet Machine. "Yea, that's it, just a little error, nothing to worry about, haha.."

BUT THE UNIVERSE'S MEANING DID NOT UN-CRUMBLE.

Our heroic member of The Forum cried itself to sleep.

    >>>>>The End.
