As someone who doesn't play BoI and probably never will, could you not make pointlessly vague entries like the one for Scolex?

But those are half the fun. Besides, you are one google search away from finding out what he meant.

Say, can you try Strange Attractor + Brimstone + Ludovico Effect + Mutant Spider + Brimstone? For science?

As you can guess Brimstone + Brimstone don't do shit.

This combo just gives you your usual brimstone ludovico. It's just that items are attracted towards it. It doesn't attract mobs and bosses too much though, maybe because the center of attraction is the center of the ring, and the ring is large and kills everything easily before it gets sucked in.
Mutant Spider doesn't add anything to the synergy, it doesn't work.

Tonight, on "Find the Cursed Eye"!
The challenge is simple: grab a countdown timer of your choice (you have a smartphone, use it), set it to 10 seconds, and start is as you open the spoiler! The goal is to find the Cursed Eye icon image in the picture within that 10 second delay!
This isn't a hard challenge or anything, it's just a fun game here.

    Transformation rankings
If you pick up three items of a specific "type", you will have a special transformation applied to your character, with a unique appearance and abilities. Let's rank them from the worst to the best, shall we?
    • 11 - image Bob: If you couldn't guess this one, you have not been paying much attention. I must have mentioned about three times already how bob items are the worst ever. This transformation is actually really difficult to attain, because there are only 4 items in its pool. Not only that, but its effects are insulting. All bob items are tied to explosions, and at least two of them (Brain and Ipecac) put you at a great risk of dying from your own blasts. This transformation should at least give you bomb immunity. But no, just green creep. Fucking useless, and just a plain mockery of what you had to pick up to gain it.
    • 10 - image Oh crap: This game loves its poop jokes, doesn't it? This transformation is actually the rarest of them all, because it only has three items in its pool (yes, I know about Super Bum). All the items are crap (as in, bad), and the transformation itself isn't even uesful. You get healed by destroying poop, but there is no chance that you'll have poop around you once you get it. Even common transformations are obtained in like Caves or Depths. You only find poop in Basement. I mean, you could have made it so that it made you immune to red poop or something... Plus, there are lots of items which should be in this pool, like Number 2 or Butt Bombs.
    • 9 - image Fun Guy: Despite its amazing look and somewhat funny wordplay, this transformation isn't even that good. Just gives you one empty heart container. Come on... No pill visibility? Nothing? Mkay.
    • 8 - image Yes Mother: Easily one of the most common transformations (16 items), if not the most common one. You're pretty much bound to get this one at least once every three runs. Because of that, it's pretty useless, but cool and unique none the less. Who wouldn't want a butt knife? What do you mean, everybody?
    • 7 - image Seraphim: The angelic transformation of the game. Pretty rare, because of angel room items and all. Gives you flight and three soul hearts.
    • 6 - image Leviathan: The polar opposite of Seraphim, gives flight and two black hearts. I find it better because 1. devil items are more common and cooler 2. Lovecraft baby.
    • 5 - image Beelzebub: The second transformation added to the game, the last one before Afterbirth, the one with the most items (17), the only one to give the player an achievement upon obtention. Gives flight, turns enemy flies into blue flies, and turns you into one of the 7 princes of hell. Pretty sexy.
    • 4 - image Super Bum: A unique transformation in the sense that it's the only one not affecting the player directly but rather your bum familiars (including Dark Bum bae). It combines all three of the bum's abilities, but is twice as powerful. Basically manages to make Dark Bum and Key Bum more op than they already are.
    • 3 - image Conjoined: A slight -0.3 damage down in exchange for free triple shot. Yes please. With tractor beam, this is basically (almost) a damage x3 multiplier.
    • 2 - image Spun: Seringues are already really good items on their own (except for piss seringue, get out you fraud), but this guy is just too good. +2 damage up (that's Curved Horn), speed up, one free pill. See? That's a good transformation that doesn't limit itself to one effect.
    • 1 - image Guppy: Our true lord and saviour, the game's overlord, the beloved Gupp. It's pretty simple: you get the transformation, you win. GG. It gives you flight, but most importantly, every time you hit something, you spawn a blue fly. With Gupp, you constantly have an absolute swarm of deadly flies surrounding you, killing absolutely everything in their path. Gupp is so good that, more often than not, you will just pay your health to get a Gupp Piece, even if you have any use for it. Curse rooms, devil deals... go ham, get that Gupp.

Okay, I'm sorry but this only caught my attention now.
Clickbait? Seriously? I mean, to each their own, but I've seen quite a lot of clickbait in my days and I never felt I took part in it. Looking at this thread, this doesn't even compair to half of the shit posted daily in off-topic and playground in terms of clickbait. I mean seriously. Just... Afterbirth top tens. How is that clickbait again? It's literally what it is.

    Characters rankings (part 2)
    • image Isaac: With the most default character in the block, the only thing there really is to talk about here is his D6. Though it brings more freedom to your gameplay, it will most of the time just make your runs linger on for no real reason. You will want to play optimally, and that means clearing rooms to get D6 recharges, get back to your items... With Isaac, you're most of the time walking back and forth for item managing without really getting a tangible advantage from your grind. Despite that, he's still quite fun to play.
    • image Lilith: This gal has the most porn fanart of them all, and for good reasons. She looks freaking good. Gameplay wise, she definitely brings an interesting twist with her familiar-driven gameplay. Though I really like her playstyle, and how ungodly OP she gets in bossrush and Greed mode, she is still a hard character to play. Her indirect attack requires a lot of aiming skills and practice, which can make her way more frustrating that she needs to at times.
    • image Eden: With Eden, absolutely everything is random. Their stats, pickups, items, health... everything. As such, Eden isn't such a bad or good character as they are just a fun one to play. In late game, you'll find yourself having played every character many times, and this is where they come in. Eden runs are always different and varied, making this character a fresh breather more than a heavily strategy-driven char.
    • image Eve: If you've played this game, you're probably very surprized to see Eve so high in my rankings, as she is most of the time shunned. Now, first of all she's got an amazing design. Secondly, she's a very specified character. With the items she starts with, and all her related items, she's a character with a lot of... well, character. I also really enjoy her playstyle. With her, you want to stay as low health as possible, to proc the Whore of Babylon effect. She is by essence challenging, as you want to live on the edge to play her optimally (no pun intended). She also benefits a lot from soul health, which is more than enough to convince me.
    • image Judas: The glass cannon of the roster. While Judas has very low health and is heavily vulnerable, his high damage output and Book of Belial just make him very satisfying to play. I've mentioned quite often already a tendency that you'll find in most of the fandom: playing risky and sacrificing health for damage is often the way to go as you gain experience in the game. Judas is just that, high damage and risk-taking for some rewarding gameplay.
    • image Azazel: Without a doubt the easiest and most chill character in the entire game, Aza has everything for him. High mobility granted by high speed and flight and insane damage from his azazer. Azazel is basically a lawn-mower. Move quickly, kill quickly, have fun. His playstyle definitely has some downsides, such as his painstakingly short range and charge shot, but those are easily dealt with. Unless you're facing a bullet hell boss, you won't really get challenged. Overall, Aza is just such a refreshing character.
    • image Cain: To be fair, Cain is the polar opposite of Lazarus. He just has good stats without any downgrade (poor range, nobody cares). As I stated earlier, Luck works in a bit of a circlejerk. Starting with 1 luck and Lucky Foot just makes Cain so strong, as he will just gain tons of stuff in a pile on top of guaranteed gamble machines (from the foot). His paperclip makes every golden chest free, and god knows how op that is with a good luck stat. Despite what you would think from Keeper, this guy is the greediest. Cain will just get everything with no regards. Although he isn't as easy to play and broken as Azazel, he still breezes through everything and makes runs very satisfying. You go Cain!
    • image The Lost (unclassified): Although this character was originally designed to be the hardest to play, his Holy Mantle just brings him from one end of the spectrum to the other. With flight and spectral tears, he can easily hide in a corner and stay safre from danger. The Holy Mantle just completely seals the deal here. Having one free hit per room makes him much more viable to play, making a world of difference and helping with curse rooms. His ability to take every devil deal for free and push the Greed button at ease just makes him very overpowered in some regards, allowing for broken combos and nearly free Greed mode. This guy isn't what you first think he is.

    Logic!

Okay so first of all if you're so butthurt about everything I say, just don't come here I won't hold it against you.
Seconds of all this is a thread in which I explain things about the game. And turns out that, in the game, there are item combos.
I don't count them for ranking stuff, like, I won't say Razor Blade is the best active item simply because of how it synergies with Isaac's Heart.
Here, I was just ranking the different transformations, and then pointing out their strengths and weaknesses. And here, I pointed out that Conjoined is stronger with tractor beam.

Like, really I don't get your problem. It seems like you don't understand the point of my posts here, and you just nitpick for the sake of it. You just look at what could be held against me, overexagarate it and then proceed to shitpost. I really dislike this attitude.

Aaaaaalso I'm just looking back at my post and seeing that you're full of shit because I never said that in the original post. So you're really digging into invisible shit to find something to hold against me for no reason.

Also just saying now, if the only feedback I get from what I provide in this thread is stupid nitpicking and aimbot for the sake of aimbot, I'm just gonna stop and delete all of it. Cause there is no worth in trying to do cool stuff with people if half of them dont care and the other half want to drink your tears.

To sorta rerail this... My personal top 5 clunkiest items in the game? Yeah, sure.

Obviously, the lower the number in rankings, the clunkiest it is. By clunky, I do mean it's wonky to use, or just kind of confusing in general. And remember, Clunky =/= bad, as will be demonstrated.

    5. image/image Soy Milk/Eve's Mascara: These items are... rather odd. Kind of the opposite of each other. Soy Milk greatly multiplies your tears, but practically halves your damage. Eve's Mascara doubles your damage, but halves your tears. Both can be used to a rather nice effect when you have the correct synergies, but if you don't, buckle up; it'll be a long ride.
    4. image Marked: I'm sure everybody's mentioned how bad this is, so I'll be brief on my tangent about it. You know that simple to understand and really good aiming system of using the arrow keys? Now imagine your arrow keys are moving a target you fire at... Needless to say, it's clunky, and not fun. However, it DOES allow you to fire at a 45 degree angle, which only few items can do, so that's... interesting?
    3. image Tiny Planet: Much like Soy Milk and Eve's Mascara, this is another one of the clunky items that I like to call a "synergy" item. One that you're honestly only going to take because it has some neat synergies. Stuff like Brimstone work incredibly well with it, on the one hand! But on the other hand, on it's own, it sucks. Whether or not this item works in your favor depends on if you possess items to support it.
    2. image Dr. Fetus: Tropes are not bad. Clunky doesn't mean bad by default, it just means awkward. And Dr. Fetus is the best kind of awkward you can get in this game. You don't fire tears, granted. But now you're firing bombs. Out of your EYES. BOMBS WITH THE SAME PROPERTIES OF YOUR ACTUAL BOMBS. You don't even have to worry about bomb pickups anymore! You can just be careful with aiming this, and bamf, you already did what you want! Oh, and what's that? It has the same properties as your actual bombs do! Sad bombs? Your bombs explode into tears! Got Ipecac, with that, too? Well, aside from having to dodge, you basically now got yourself a giant 3/1 Bomb Tower from Bloons Tower Defense, and you can move it. Because you ARE it. Oh, and Pyromaniac + any amount of red hearts = infinite health, even without the aforementioned synergies of stuff like sad bombs or ipecac. Alas, being a special item, he's going to lower your chances of finding the infinite HP restoration that is Pyromaniac... oh wait, Host Hat gives you immunity to explosions, so what's it matter if you got caught in the explosion? You're welcome. Sadly, though, the same amount of "good" clunky is not what I can say about...
    1. image Ludovico Effect: Screw this item. I literally hate it with all of my passion. Marked is one thing, but at least I still have my full strand of tears! This literally doesn't even give you that mercy. Instead, now you have what is your target now be a big tear. Not Glass Cannon sized, just mildly large. Oh, and the target will ever slowly get closer to you if you don't keep moving it! It's also a fucking special item, meaning now you will probably never see Brimstone in the entire run, since the mechanics for special items in rebirth/afterbirth rely on you even merely seeing it! Oh, and it's in the item room pools, too. You wanted something awesome like Magic Mush or Holy Mantle, or hell, maybe something basic but still practical like Pentagram? Nope! Now you have this fucker! It's synergies aren't even that good, basically requiring you to have something already overpowered before you can even think of using it, or just getting strange attractor and letting your enemies get sucked into your black hole of a marked knockoff! Maybe I need to learn the technique to make this item useful... Y'know, maybe SpongeBob was right. Oh wait, the technique is to not pick this up, right. tl;dr, fuck this fucking item.

Honorable mentions: Epic Fetus, Ipecac. (I haven't beaten Family Man, so I can't possibly have experience in Epic Fetus, and Ipecac is kinda beaten out by Soy Milk/Eve's Mascara IMO. And Dr. Fetus does what it wants much better.)

It's been a bit, and this is my 16,000th post, so, ehh, why the heck not? Top 5 most OP items.

    5. Magic Mushroom: Don't be fooled; this is NOT just a regular all stats up item. Specifically, it multiplies your damage by 1.5x. Permanently. It's almost insane how hard you'll be hitting.
    4. +Shot items (20/20, Inner Eye, Mutant Spider): Here, have what's effectively a DPS multiplier. Not only can you not worry about aiming as much, 20/20 in particular IS a DPS multiplier in the form of a x2 multiplier. Have fun, kiddos.
    3. Glowing Hourglass: What's that? Got yourself into a pickle? Don't worry, Glowing Hourglass is here to completely save you. Oh? The Donation Machine jammed, you say? Just use this! Machine unjams, and all your coins you donated remain. Oh, and you got those coins back, too. And a measly 2 recharge for an item that can outright BREAK donation machines, much less save your entire run, that's a lot!
    2. All Guppy Items: Already stellar items on their own, with Guppy's Head being a reliable source of flies and Dead Cat giving you 9 revivals, if you get 3, every tear you land a hit with spawns a blue fly. Every. Single. Hit. If you have high tears, this can be a lifesaver. Lord help those poor enemies if you have Hive Mind, or the very next item...
    1. Brimstone: Do I have to fucking explain it? Guaranteed 13x damage multiplier, infinite range, with only a charge holding you back. It's a dream come true when this shows up. And if you have Tammy's Head...

Honorable mentions: Death's Touch, Dark Bum, Incubus, Restock.
