Hello to anyone that would take his time to look at this... Is it possible using the normal methods of Idle Game Maker to make a building multiply the efficiency of a clickable by an amount?

    From my memory, it is, but I haven't personally used the function much and I don't think I even touched Idle Game Maker in forever.

    gains X% per Y This clickable's powers gain +X% multiplied by the amount of resource/building Y. 100%, with 3 of Y, would mean this produces/uses up 300% more resources per click.

    I tried this, but it seems to add the percentage instead of multiply by it, like for example, I want each time the building is bought my clickable's power is multiplied by 10 (x1000%, for example 1, 10, 100, 1000...) but when I do it it just adds 1000% of the clickables power (+1000%, like 1, 11, 21, 31...)

    Trying to alert the admins is basically pointless by this stage of the forum. None of them are on too often, the only one is Zuptin, who is not working on Idle Game Maker, and, in fact, is exclusive to lurking mostly.

    You could make an upgrade with the command "multiplies efficiency of X by Y% per Z" where X is the clickable, Y% defines the multiplier and Z is the building that increases the efficiency. Though I think it has to be bought.

    An alternative way would be a little workaround with an abstract building. Let's say the clickable is called X, the original building is called Y, the abstract building is called Z, the multiplier is n and A=n*100.
    Y needs the following commands:
    builds 1 Z when bought multiplies Z A% when bought destroys 1 Z when bought
    Hopefully IGM will work the lines from top to bottom otherwise this doesn't work.
    Building Z just needs the command abstract and the clickable X needs the command
    gains 100% per Z
    Since gains is additive we need n^k-1 units of Z for k units of Y. "destroys 1 Z when bought" achieves that. "builds 1 Z when bought" fills n^k-1 back up to n^k so that we can multiply the amount of buildings Z we have by n to get n^(k+1). This gets reduced to n^(k+1)-1 again and so on.

    Sorry, I misinterpreted the "multiplies efficiency" command. It just multiplies the multiplier by the amount of buildings you have. So, I don't think that command is going to help you.

    The second version seems to work. I made a small example game:

    Every building multiplies the efficiency of the clickable by 10 times.
    Though it only works, if you buy the building:

    In this second example game I made a new building "tester" that builds 10 "Point Generators", but the buildings you get from "tester" don't increase the efficiency of the clickable.
